Alabama vs. Auburn

Well, I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Do we not all have SO much to be thankful for? I woke up early this morning with a particular verse on my mind. "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good." Yes, he is. This is my very favorite time of the year. Beginning in September, through the end of the year, I always get this "boost" in my spirit. I love the beautiful colors of fall, and the brisk of the breeze. It seems I recognize the Lord's creation for what it is-majestic and amazing. Of course, with the holidays approaching, I get excited about the family and the food. Today was relaxing and peaceful, but, of course, we miss Ben. I hope the next two weeks pass quickly. Not to wish my life away, but we always have a lot of fun when Ben is here. Who would have thought that Lori and I would end up with two best friends, and we get to vacation together, and have holidays. . .I am so happy that soon they will be about 2 minutes away! Yes, how lucky for Ben and J that Lori and I took a chance with them. Just joking. . .though sometimes we forget, WE are the lucky ones. And there was no chance; I believe with all my heart that the Lord led us together. Just another thing to be thankful for.

Well, I have heard a rumor about a big game coming up. Me, I'm not much of a fan. Well, really let me explain. I have for a while now professed to be an Alabama fan. But, as some of you may know, I spent a LOT of time in Auburn, and even attended the University briefly. The truth is, I LOVE AUBURN! ( I can hear the loud gasps from here!) I mean I love everything about it! I have so many good memories from there, and I think the town is warm and beautiful. However, my first married football season, I was informed by 3 particular people (guess who) that since I did not care about football at all (not care about it. . . I didn't even understand it), I may as well pull for Alabama. (I will never forget one Iron Bowl spent at the Foreman's, I chose to wear my Auburn attire. Wow, what was I thinking? Ben told me I had to change shirts, or leave; and he WAS NOT kidding!) After LONG conversations about end zones and touchdowns, many angry afternoons, and pure ram-my-head-in-the-wall hours of boredom, I knew I was facing a lost cause. I soon gave in, as my Saturday nights were filled with misery, and ended in drastic despair, if all the yelling, throwing, and praying did not pull the Crimson Tide through. So, here I am. A self proclaimed "Alabama fan" who loves her old comfortable Auburn shirts. What can I say? Go Bama? . . .

My Job

Hello everybody! I was so excited to hear from each of you. It's funny how the Lord sometimes uses our past to bless our present! I will not be able to blog as much as I would like because, as per my luck, my computer is broken! So, I am using Lori's. (Thanks, Lou.) I may be able to "blog" (the words are still funny and foreign to me. . .) more next week at work (I am off this week!!!!!), but we will see. (I can tell Lori is right. . . I am quickly becoming addicted. . .) I started working at Covington Medical Associates (Dr.'s Samuel and Maria Gacha) November 4 and it is BUSY. (Example: we saw over 200 people last week!) Dr. Gacha opened Covington Medical Spa October 2007, and I was invited to be the massage therapist. At the time, I was teaching preschool in the morning (which I LOVED), and doing massage therapy at the spa in the afternoon. In May, when school ended, I started full time at the spa. Unfortunately, due to many factors (a HUGE one being the economy), October 23, 2008, the spa was closed. Dr. Gacha asked me to stay on and, now my job consists of many things, namely following up with weight loss patients. They started a weight management program several months ago, and as I myself am in the middle of it, it is something I am very passionate about. Through diet, a little excercise, and a little help with appetite suppressants, I have lost 21 pounds since July! I have a long way to go, but it is definitely a step in the right direction. Well, once again, I have managed to say a lot about a little. (Call it hazards of the hobby, I guess.) Take care, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! Phillipians 1:3

My First Blog

Well, I have decided to blog. Lori has finally talked me into it, so we'll see how it goes. My family consists of my husband Jason, and three wild ones, Tip (a red-nosed Pittbull who has chewed my furniture and walls to pieces), Happy (an adopted Malti-poo who is literally scared of everything from potato chips to plastic bags), and Maisy (our BEAUTIFUL but AWFUL cat who my husband says has knives on her feet instead of claws!) We are happy, but hope to one day give my sweet "nephew" (baby Jack Foreman) a little cousin to take care of. Some call us boring, but we LOVE our life. Of course the days are filled with work (that happens, as we are old now), but we look forward to our nights and weekends which is usually filled with the Foreman family (at least half of the month), occasionally the Bulger family(not near as often as we would like), football, and Rook. We also love to travel, and have gone on several mission trips to Honduras, Nicarauga, and Ecuador. We really look forward to Sundays, too. Our church (Hopewell) is really growing, and we are very excited. Worship is awesome, and we have a lot of couples our age. I can't wait to see what will happen in the future. O.K. . . 10:42. . . Lori is rushing me so she can help me set up everything. Hope to catch up with some old friends. . .
